2 Chainz Readies Sophomore Album for September

2 Chainz is readying the next chapter in his story. The Atlanta rapper has announced a release date for his sophomore album.
The sequel to his 2012 debut Based on a T.R.U. Story is due September 10, he announced in a tweet.
He has decided to refrain from doing features so he can focus on finishing the as-yet-untitled album.
“FEATURES ON HAULT… NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY SEPTEMBER TENTH!!!!” he tweeted.
Based on a T.R.U. Story debuted at No. 1 last August, selling 147,000 copies in its first week. The gold-certified album earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album and spawned the hit singles “No Lie,” “Birthday Song,” and “I’m Different.”
