From independent hustlers to AMA winners, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis showed that anything is possible with their performance at the American Music Awards. The Seattle duo, who led the nominations for this year’s show, performed “Can’t Hold Us” live from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on “The Heist” tour.

They also won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, beating out Kendrick Lamar and Jay Z.

During his acceptance speech, Macklemore acknowledged Trayvon Martin and victims of racial profiling. “It’s time we fight against racism,” he said.
