Legendary soul singer Bobby Womack died Friday at the age of 70.

In 2009, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

According to Rolling Stone, Womack was in the process of recording a new album called The Best Is Yet to Come featuring contributions from Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, and Rod Stewart.
