Kanye West Presents Pharrell with CFDA Fashion Icon Award
Pharrell Williams was named Fashion Icon of the Year at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday. Kanye West was on hand to present his “style idol” with the award as their wives Kim Kardashian and Helen Lasichanh looked on.
“Pharrell has always been my style idol. And there would be no me, no A$AP, without Pharrell,” said ‘Ye.
An overwhelmed Pharrell humbly took the podium to accept his award. “No one has better style than the everyday American people. Why? Because they’re the real thing and they live it every day,” he said. “I can never be as cool as them, but I’m happy to take notes. I’m not a style icon, I’m just inspired. I am other and I am OK with that.”
A pregnant Kim stepped out for the first time since announcing that she and Kanye are expecting their second child. The man of the evening, Pharrell, also helped Mrs. West extinguish her dress after it caught on fire.
