FKA twigs Debuts 'M3LL155X' EP

Left-field R&B chanteuse FKA twigs has dropped a brand new EP via Young Turks called M3LL155X. It’s five songs deep, and twigs has released videos for four of them, Beyoncé-style. Also like Beyoncé’s last album, this release was made in close collaboration with singer-songwriter Boots.

The videos for “Figure 8,” “I’m Your Doll”, “In Time,” and “Glass & Patron,” are directed by FKA twigs herself. According to a press release, the four pieces coalesce into a single work—a “statement conceptualizing the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation.”

She has a fan in Katy Perry, who tweeted a link to the visuals, writing, “The crown has officially been snatched from everyone.”

Stream M3LL155X—which comprises warped R&B, pulsing pop, and stylistic signatures that can only be described as distinctly twigs.
