Video: Lyrica Anderson - 'Hello'

Lyrica Anderson has written for superstars like Beyoncé (“Jealous”) and Tinashe (“Pretend”). Now the R&B songstress continues to build her buzz with the video for “Hello,” which illustrates a dramatic confrontation at the dinner table between Lyrica and her lover, who she’s in the process of breaking up with for his infidelity.

“You didn’t pick up the phone, you must be with a bitch now,” she sings, as bursts of flames appear in her eyes.

She stabs the table with a knife and cuts the head off a rose, making it clear that she’s had enough. She appears to try and seduce her ex, tracing a napkin around his chest—he perks up for a minute, before she pulls it tight around his neck.

Lyrica’s EP Hello will be released on Oct. 30. She has also been in the studio with Chris Brown working on his new album Royalty and will be featured on Afrojack’s forthcoming LP.
