New Music: Alicia Keys & Pharrell Williams - 'Apple'

  /  12.08.2016

Alicia Keys and Pharrell Williams form a star-studded duet on “Apple.”

The fiery track off the Hidden Figures soundtrack features throwback vibes, handclaps, and live music ambiance, while Keys and Skateboard P do their thing.

“It’s funny when the arrow’s aiming at you,” sings Pharrell. “Inscribed with your name / You pray that it just goes past you / Cupid’s only gonna shoot if he knows it’s his game.”

“Apple’s” vintage vibes follow similar handclaps from Skateboard P’s “Crave” and “Runnin’,” also off the Hidden Figures soundtrack, due Friday (Dec. 9).

Tonight, the N.E.R.D. frontman is set to take the stage on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” And this Sunday (Dec. 11), he will host his “OTHERtone” radio show on Apple Music with guests The Internet.

Hidden Figures the film, starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe, hits theaters Christmas Day.
