Video: Belly feat. YG - '4 Days'
Just days after releasing “4 Days,” Belly taps YG and DJ Mustard for the bouncy collaboration’s smoky video.
Shot in a Los Angeles warehouse, the neon-lit clip finds reBELLYus wearing the yet-to-be-released PUMA Thunder Spectra and smoking a cigar with dancers all around him. The Millicent Hailes-directed visual also features special effects, including lightning zaps, blurry transitions, and split-screen scenes.
DJ Mustard and YG also bring some West Coast flavor. Beautiful models and fancy old school rides surround the longtime collaborators. Meanwhile, Belly comes back in to show off his smoke-bending skills.
Belly recently told Billboard about the video’s simplicity. “We just wanted a visual depiction,” he said. “We didn’t want to tell any stories or get into any craziness. I wanted to bring an abstract feeling to the song. Millicent really captured the beauty of the random moments, rather than try to detail everything and put it in the video.”
“4 Days” is a single off Belly’s forthcoming album, Midnight Zone, featuring The Weeknd, NAV, Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, and Pharrell Williams.
