New Music: Playboi Carti feat. Nicki Minaj - 'Poke It Out'

  /  05.12.2018

Before unleashing her highly-anticipated album Queen, Nicki Minaj provides a standout verse for Playboi Carti on “Poke It Out” off Die Lit.

Over Pi’erre Bourne’s production, the Young Money queen references Carti’s biggest hit to date, “Magnolia.” “Playboi Barbie, cover of Playboy, Barbie,” she raps. “In New York, I really rock / Ask Playboi Carti.”

Minaj also goes on to rap about her ability to stand out on a feature. “Watch flooded, ho I can’t even face time / You bitches gotta face time for them hate crimes,” she rhymes. “The best feature out the Big Apple since FaceTime.”

But Minaj isn’t the only star on Carti’s album. Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Bryson Tiller, Chief Keef, and Young Thug are among the other guests.

Meanwhile, Nicki is set to drop her album Queen on June 15. To celebrate the upcoming release, she had a new “Queen” pendant designed. She pointed out that Raffaello & Co. made the chain, a reference to A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane (Remix).”
