Logic Announces New Album 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind'

  /  03.19.2019

Six months after the release of YSIV, Logic is readying his sixth studio album Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

Bobby Tarantino made the announcement in a trailer, which features a new song. In the nearly five-minute clip, the Maryland MC stands against a black backdrop while rapping before he starts bleeding from the neck. He continues as blood starts to gush out down his shirt. He then lights a blunt as he confronts his critics and his demons.

“Fuck social media tellin’ me who I should be and just how I should rap,” raps Logic. “They always compare me to others and try to pit me up against all my brothers / Now why you think so many rappers be overdosing at the crib? / ‘Cause people just won’t let them live.”

At one point, a bloody Bobby pulls out his phone and starts reading some of the cruel comments. “‘You’ll never be Kenny / You’ll never be better than Drizzy and Cole / You’re losing your hair / You’re too fucking old,'” he raps. “These are the comments I’m reading on Twitter right now that make me depressed and they pullin’ me down.”

But he won’t let the haters get him down. “So I’ma turn that feeling into a sound and play it when nobody else is around,” says Logic while drenched in blood.

The trailer ends by announcing that Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is “coming soon.” The album marks the follow-up to September’s YSIV, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
