New Music: Khalid & H.E.R. - 'This Way'

After teaming up with Swae Lee and Normani, Khalid makes another movie with H.E.R. on “This Way” off the upcoming Superfly soundtrack.

Over a stripped-down acoustic instrumental, the R&B crooners show off their effortless chemistry on the soulful duet. The American Teen sings about true love (“What more can I say? You make me this way”), while H.E.R. responds with her own take (“You took me for granted / Always want to play the victim when they don’t know the truth is…”)

The Future-produced soundtrack to Superfly arrives Friday featuring appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Miguel, while the movie—starring Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell, and Lex Scott Davis—hits theaters June 13.

Khalid previously collaborated with Swae Lee on “The Ways” for the Black Panther soundtrack, and with Normani on “Love Lies” off the Love, Simon soundtrack.
