Logic Thanks Kendrick Lamar, Drake in Tearful Farewell

Retirement has Logic in his feelings.

On Friday, the Maryland rapper capped off his decade-long career with the release of his sixth and final album No Pressure. During his album listening party on Twitch, an emotional Logic held back tears while speaking to fans and thanking his peers including Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Drake.

“I want to thank Kendrick because he doesn’t know how much he was there for me…and Cole,” cried Logic. “And Drake, fuckin’ A$AP [Rocky] and Ferg. And Mac DeMarco and fuckin’ Toro y Moi. It was such a dream for him to be on this album and record. There’s too many people, man.”

As the tears continued to flow, he addressed his supporters. “I thank you all. I love you all. I appreciate you all. I bid you farewell and as always, I’m obediently yours,” he said.

The new dad plans to stay off social media for the first time in his career. “I won’t be on the internet for the first time in my career because it hurts me and everytime I released an album, I just wanted to be loved and this time I don’t check the internet because I finally love myself,” he added.

He signed off with a message of gratitude. “So thank you so much and as always, peace, love, and positivity. I love you, I appreciate you, and I’ll see you in other endeavors.”

Logic and his wife Brittney Noell recently welcomed their first son, Bobby. “These two make me the happiest man in the world and it’s a happiness nothing else has ever been able to fulfill,” Logic said while sharing photos of his baby boy.

He plans to focus on his family, but fans can still interact with him through Twitch. He will stream weekly on the gaming platform as part of an exclusive seven-figure deal.

“I’m blessed enough to have millions of fans and followers. So it is a great partnership,” he told The Verge. “I’m going to bring new eyes to their service, they’re going to bring new money to my bank account, and — I’m just kidding.”
