Kodak Black Sues Federal Prison Over Torture Claims

Kodak Black claims he is being tortured behind bars in a new lawsuit.

The incarcerated rapper is suing the Federal Bureau of Prisons along with its director and the warden at USP Big Sandy federal prison. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Kodak alleges that he has been tortured and had his rights violated.

Kodak was transferred to the high-security prison in Kentucky in October 2019 after an altercation with another inmate at Miami’s Federal Detention Center, in which an officer was injured.

When he arrived at Big Sandy, Kodak says he was the victim of a “gang beating” by guards, allegedly as retaliation for the injured Miami prison guard. He claims the guards hit him in the head with a metal object while handcuffed and “flicked his genitals.”

In the suit, Kodak says he is routinely punished for no legitimate reason. He recalls one time he was placed in a backless paper gown on a 4-point restraint for over six hours, forcing him to urinate and defecate on himself while the guards ridiculed him. He claims medical records show that this treatment resulted in bleeding, lacerations, and vomiting.

He also accuses Big Sandy prison guards of forcing him on his knees execution-style in his underwear while soaking wet, causing him physical and emotional distress.

His lawyers are also threatening to sue because Kodak has allegedly being denied access to a rabbi. Kodak, who is a practicing Hebrew Israelite, has requested to meet with a rabbi, but he says that his requests have been ignored while other inmates are granted access to clergy.

He is asking to be moved to a lower-security prison and is suing for damages and legal fees.
