Video: Chrisette Michele – ‘Be OK’
“Be OK” is the third single off Chrisette Michele’s debut album I Am. The song was produced by will.i.am. Chrisette’s album is one of the most slept on records of 2007. She received only one nomination for Best Female Vocal R&B Performance at the Grammys, but no Best New Artist nod.

She did recieve a Grammy Nod for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance: “If I Had My Way” (Nominated) . and she deserves to win and should have been nominated for best new artist. she has so much talent and the ablum is amazing. I listen to it the whole way through everyday. Thats just so happens to be my favorite song..

Those are great songs. She really talented and all the songs are delivered so different. Defjam didnt do a good promotion job at all they was to busy promoting Rihanna who sounds alike on all her tracks and cant sing worth a damn. But im not hating. I still brought Chrisette cd.

Bajan, just because u dont know what good music is dont get mad. Im just saying if Defjam put the same much promotion in each of their artist everyone would have a fair chance. Rihanna is just a look not a voice. She wil be gone in the next couple of years. They put all that money in her and her ablum didnt even go platium in the US. point proven that they wasted their money. Chrisette could have one get if the promote her better she was feature on tracks by both Jay Z and Nas before her ablum even drop letting u know she has talent. Jay didnt work with Rihanna until after she had some hits.

and without promotion her ablum recieve better reviews then all of Rihanna and recieve a grammy nod. which i think is great because her hard work isnt getting overlook even though she isnt selling that much,.

I agree she ismad slept on/// She has one of the best voices today. We all know the inudstry is checkin for a chick that is poppin and locking or has some catchy song going on…thats why Jill Scott is slept on too. Also it does have a lot to do with promotion and I dont think her label gave a damn

Chrisette Michele is the best singer out right now, her voice far surpasses all of these chics thats out right now.::::she deserves all she is getting and so much more. I just think people need to be more open-minded she has so much passion, a terrific voice and she actually stands for something…she’s not out here singing about giving away her goodies or what a dude can do for her…she has positive lyrics and she cant be compared to these mediocre singers…Im glad someone like her has been discovered, I actually have some musiq that I really enjoy now(thank you Chrisette). In due time more will come her way….by the way,, best album…..ever….
