The Black Eyed Peas will finish recording their fifth studio album in London on October 15th. The album is titled The E.N.D. and it’s not the group’s final record as the title may lead you to believe.

“It stands for The Energy Never Dies,” will.i.am tells Billboard.com.

The album doesn’t have a concrete release date yet. “[Interscope Records] want[s] it to come out soon, but I don’t know if that’s the right thing,” he says, while adding that he’s tempted to release it this year because he’s convinced that 2009 may signal the end of significant physical CD sales.

“For the last remaining stores that sell CDs, this is the last Christmas that CDs will be in stores,” predicts the producer. “It’s fucking scary.”
