Rap-Up.com || Kanye West Puts Twitter on Blast

So much for the ego check. Kanye West is going on another tangent. This time he’s directed his anger at the good folks at Twitter.

In one of his typical all-caps blog entries on Tuesday, Kanye expressed his frustration with the popular micro-blogging service.

“(This spaz comes courtesy of losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts) I DON’T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER… WHY WOULD I USE TWITTER??? I ONLY BLOG 5 PERCENT OF WHAT I’M UP TO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I’M ACTUALLY SLOW DELIVERING CONTENT BECAUSE I’M TOO BUSY ACTUALLY BUSY BEING CREATIVE MOST OF THE TIME AND IF I’M NOT AND I’M JUST LAYING ON A BEACH I WOULDN’T TELL THE WORLD. EVERYTHING THAT TWITTER OFFERS I NEED LESS OF. THE PEOPLE AT TWITTER KNOW I DON’T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER SO FOR THEM TO ALLOW SOMEONE TO POSE AS ME AND ACCUMULATE OVER A MILLION NAMES IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND DECEITFUL TO THERE FAITHFUL USERS. REPEAT… THE HEADS OF TWITTER KNEW I DIDN’T HAVE A TWITTER AND THEY HAVE TO KNOW WHICH ACCOUNTS HAVE HIGH ACTIVITY ON THEM. IT’S A FUCKING FARCE AND IT MAKES ME QUESTION WHAT OTHER SO CALLED CELEBRITY TWITTERS ARE ACTUALLY REAL OR FAKE. HEY TWITTER, TAKE THE SO CALLED KANYE WEST TWITTER DOWN NOW …. WHY? … BECAUSE MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!”

Note to Mr. West: You’re not the only celebrity with Twitter impersonators. Twitter has a staff of 30; how can they possibly dedicate time to monitor all the fake Kanyes? Yes, there are other people besides you on this planet. Maybe you should create your own account so everyone will know the rest are fake. Just a thought.

I agree with Kanye 100% (I am a fan of his music, not his big ego!) There is absolutely no point to Twitter! It’s a waste of time, people should be out living there lives. Not on twitter blogging about there every move, i don’t give a f**k if your eating, sleeping, working out, or taking a shit!

twitter is not lame; the way people use it update whomever on mundane crap is lame. being connected directly to ANYONE without filters is incredible if used properly, esp. for underground artists looking for their products to be seen/heard…(ie., retweets)….i think kanye might be upset that folks like ashton kutcher have beat him to the punch in this arena…if you can’t beat ‘em, bitch ‘n moan…

Totally agree on the fake celebrity accounts, surely if you are a celebrity your name is your trade mark, and aren’t there like laws and stuff governing other people using your trade marks?

Kanye is nothing more than a control freak, and twitter is out of his control. I understand the fake profile issue, which happens on any social networking site. No, the truth is, kanye is a man-child, and has deep issues. He is creative, but in his mind, he is prince, elvis and the beatles all combined. Sadly, my man kanye doesn’t even write his own stuff. Nope. He samples 90%, and flows on it. that is old, boring and wack…anybody tired of kanye and his MF attitude, raise yo hand!!!!!

I think you all need to learn how to spell and use words correctly…this is a big huge world and I agree, what about your fans that set up sites to update your followers… you might be big but you are not that big, cut Twitter a break and have someone on your staff find out who is doing it and take action against them legally and leave twitter out of it!

My only confusion is how people who are reading this article/blog and taking the time to comment on it, are saying that “It’s a waste of time and people should be out there living there [sic] lives.” Exactly which life is being lived while commenting on the story? Same idea! People could say they don’t “give a s@#t” that Sugar agrees with Kanye 100%, but he’s still sharing that thought because he wants to, and has a right to do so. Just don’t rip on people using Twitter while you are essentially doing the same thing in another medium.

I kind of feel what he’s saying. It just doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but I guess this shows that he cares about his fans. He just doesn’t wanting them to be deceived into thinking they’re talking to him, when they’re not. I mean who knows what the fake kanyes are saying to the fans.

Kanye cares very much about his fans and does A LOT more than other artists to stay connected to us via the internet. I would have fallen for that fake acct and been buying everything written. So, thanks Kanye for letting me know. I love you as a person and as an artist. How is this an ego trip, helping fans?
