In response to a clip from his interview with CNN’s Larry King, Chris Brown has issued a statement clarifying that he does remember what happened on February 8. Read below.
There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times—and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
The first four times—or how ever many times it was—I gave the same answer—which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time—or whatever it was—I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”
Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.

His career is not going to end due to these circumstances…If anyone knows about CB/Rihanna’s relationship knows this isn’t the first incident that they’ve had although it may have been the first seriously physical. Both of these artists are very young. They are gonna make mistakes. We all agree that wasn’t the best situation we’d hope they would go thru but you have to realize that things happened very quickly and Chris could’ve been at that boiling point. It’s said this isn’t the first time Rihanna slapped him and he had to walk away in her hometown (Barbados).
I feel for Rihanna but both of them still loves one another. Let them, “Live Their Life…”

I am not a fan of Chris since the incident, but I believe his career will bounce back. Why? Well, Rihanna is acting like attension wh*re and doesn’t give a rats ass, so why should the public care for this woman who is anything but? Chris can go to hell for all I care but people (fans/idiots) want their fantasies so bad that they’d be willing to let a woman beater do his thing. The public is so full so called “caring” idiots, when all they want is exactly what they want and so they can forgive anyone. Chris & Rihanna can do it again the dumb ass public will still able to “forgive” them. (2 comment on this….. Fake B.S.)

Happy go lucky and 101, once again, haters. Yall are some uneducated haters at that, everyone knows television shows are edited for time, well it’s obvious yall don’t. I don’t think his PR firm had anything to do with his statement. And I just love it when you haters post comments like your waiting for his career to end, yall are showing everyone that you have alot of times on your hands, in other words you don’t do shit, which means you don’t have a life, your life evolves around wishing bad things on somebody you don’t even know, and probably never even knew until this whole Rihanna mess. I’m glad yall have alot of time on your hands when the rest of us work, go to school, or both, it must be nice. Chris has support from fans and family so you can hate all you want, you just prove to many that a haters job is to hate and that’s it.

Ok that makes more since! It did kinda look bad before in that clip. I’m just gonna watch the whole thing tomorrow.
Again we don’t know his thoughts…I personally believe he’s sincere, but it ain’t up to me any way.
and I don’t think his career is over.

They say any publicity is good publicity, in this case (as unfortunate as it is) this incident could or could not make Chris awhole lot more popular than he was before. My personal opinion is that this guy has alot to prove. For instance, when I, and many others, hear any of his tracks, the incident is the first thing that comes to mind. None of us know exactly what happened that evening, all I know is that Chris has alot of work to do if he wants his fans to remember the artist he was before the night of Febuary the 8th.

What makes this scumbag even worse is the fact that he’s apologizing as an album is getting close to a release.
Let’s forget Rhianna for a second. You have kids watching and looking up to this dude and you’re going to wait damn near 8 months before getting to this????. We know what happened. Let’s not pretend, we don’t. It’s in the police report, he’s acknowledged it on a number of occasions and we’ve seen the pictures. This is not ‘hate’ people. There are just some things in life that can’t be tolerated! This bafoon is one of them!
