Rihanna and Drake get up close and personal in the Philip Andelman-directed video for “What’s My Name?,” the chart-topping single off RiRi’s new album Loud, in stores next week. The pair shows some PDA in a New York City bodega where Drizzy spits game to the red-haired siren who showers him with kisses, also hitting their apartment where things get even steamier. Watch them fire up the screen below.

The BIG budget was used for the “Only Girl” (In the World) video. This was more of a raw organic video but its obvious Def jam will be producing way more videos for this LOUD era.

This song alone went to #1 before this video was even released so if there was never a video for this song it wouldnt matter. The video stays true to the essense of the song i couldnt have seen this video be with special effects and all that because its not that type of song that needs that type of visual.

Basically, the video was in the process of just being her in it, then they released the “remix” with Drake, which is now considered the official version of What’s My Name, due the positive feedback they received. So, since the song wasn’t considered a remix anymore, they just “threw” Drake in the video…which is literally what they did…threw him in the goddamn video.

Moral of my point…it was boring and thrown together. When they could’ve just re-did it, or released two versions…I mean Diddy-Dirty Money did it for Hello, Goodmorning.

And why couldn’t they chosen a better director…Joseph Kahn, Hype W., and maybe even Anthony Mandler, again.

I had high hopes. Wutev’s. =/

Well, here is the thing: you say Rihanna will be forgotten? Well, then maybe you just don’t know that Rihanna is the most sucessful artist in the last 20 years. She has seven Number 1 World Hits. And don’t tell me that seven Number 1 World Hits are a “delusional thing”, because being able to have that amount of number 1′s in only 5 years of career is pretty freaking AMAZING! And just so you know, Rihanna’s last tour (“Last Girl On Earth”) sold out in most countries :)
