Rap-Up.com || Single Cover: Porcelain Black – ‘This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like’

Newcomer Porcelain Black shows us “This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like” on the cover of her debut single featuring Lil Wayne, available March 29 on iTunes. The glam-rock singer is currently opening for Weezy, Nicki Minaj, and Rick Ross on the “I Am Music II” tour, and working with super-producer RedOne on her Universal Republic debut.

“My music is like if Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson fu**ed and had a kid, it would be me,” explained the 25-year-old Detroit native. “‘Cause it’s like dance-pop, but it’s industrial Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails.”

We all know Young Money is letting this ” wanna be” grind with them because they are reminded bout Lady Gaga. 1 – Porcelain is not signed to YM but to Universal Repubic.
2 – Porcelain started her career in 2003 and she kept the same way of doing music so she’s not copying Gaga
3 – Porcelain is doing Rock n Roll/Screamo music. Why don’t you just compare Britney and Gaga instead as they’re both doing popmusic?
4 – You say you love Gaga. You also say Porcelain Black sounds like her. So why don’t you like her music? Perhaps because it’s TOTALLY different.. just saying.
5 – Listen to her old stuff, the music she did before Lady Gaga was famous.

@Carlos, I would almost agree with you…except for the fact she herself has described her sound as born out of Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears. In other words, pop meeting heavy rock…sounds like Gaga’s vision for Born This Way to me.

Though I think Porcelain is way more rock than Gaga plans to be on her new album.

Lol If you’re comparing her to Lady Gaga you need to get your ears checked and you must be a moron. She’s pop and rock and roll. Porcelain has had her music out for YEARS and still sounds the same. I do like Lady Gaga but they’re completely different. If you do compare them in anyway, you can say they’re both powerful women…but Porcelain, in my opinion, is a better singer, writer, etc.
