« Lil’ Kim Toasts Protégée Tiffany Foxx at Dinner with LoLa Monroe, Lil MamaLil Wayne and Snoop Lion Face Off in Celebrity Beach Bowl »Frank Ocean Offers ‘Forgiveness’ to Chris Brown, Won’t Press Charges![]() Frank Ocean is putting a peaceful end to his feud with Chris Brown. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer has decided to find forgiveness and not press charges.
Following their brawl that occurred last month at a recording studio in West Hollywood, Ocean spoke out about the incident in a letter on his blog. “As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man,” wrote Ocean, who is nominated for six Grammys. “But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person.” He decided to let bygones be bygones and not press any charges or file a lawsuit. “I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit.” The decision wasn’t an easy one to make. “Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace,” he said. Frank suffered a cut finger, while Chris injured his hand during the altercation. Chris maintains that Frank started the fight by refusing to shake his hand, while an eyewitness claims Chris threw the first punch. Chris fled the scene and has yet to speak with police about the incident. ![]() You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 122 CommentsLeave a Reply

Lets be real. If it was as black and white as Frank got jumped and CB cold cocked him, he would be pressing charges from here to timbuktu. I am sure the truth is somewhere in between and both parties acted childish. Next time.1) Frank talk to security if someone is taking something you believe is rightfully yours, especially if you already have issues with that person. 2) CB keep your damn hands to yourself, especially while on probation and learn these simple words, my bad, sorry, I’m out and keep it moving. My brothers we have to do better!!!!!

The level of insanity in the comments on this site worries me. Frank’s response, his “forgiveness” was elegantly done. This paragraph has more intelligence, class, and modesty than ANYTHING Chris Brown has ever written or done in his life time. As a Black woman, I hope that the people that are making these comments are not women. Not because of the Rihanna affair (which was despicable), but because they are disagreeing with a man who decided not to succumb to Chris Brown’s level. If this is about Frank’s sexuality, you are all bigots and spit on your ancestors who endured discrimination throughout their lives. If this is about Frank’s “manliness,” let me tell you that it takes more of a man to not throw a punch than to do so. Those are the men that you should want in your life, and I am saddened that you are still in the illusion that this depicts “weakness.”

@ShameOnYourself, just curious, were you there? I think they both threw punches, I thought his response was elegent towards the end but also backhanded at the same time. Do you honestly think Frank walked up to CB and said, excuse me but I believe your in my parking spot, CB said my bad tried to shake his hand, Frank laughed and CB punched him. Both artist were wrong and just because one artist can speak/write elegently doesn’t make him any less responsible for the mess that went down.

@notsofast, It doesn’t matter if I was there or not. I believe Chris’s past speaks for its self, but I did not write my response to say Chris Brown or Frank Ocean was right or wrong on that night. It is the way they handled it. Frank did right in writing this response. I am not even a fan of his or Chris Brown, but as a person he has gained my respect. He is doing something that Chris Brown lost a long time ago, setting a good standard for Black men. Elegant is also spelled with an A, which what Frank Ocean is. An “A” class man and he proved it in this response.

@notsofast, By focusing on whose fault it was? You focusing on only “positive, productive elements” is naive. If people only did that slavery would still be in existence, women rights would be non-existent, and society would never be able to progress in an ethical fashion. My comment was intended to speak to the bigger, overall picture. Only focusing on what you want will lead you to blind denial, which leads to willful ignorance, which is one of the worse crimes a intelligent human being could ever do to themselves.

Chris’s past is an excuse for the dumb and ignorant not to research and know what really happened instead they come on gossip sites and write bullshit.
*Footage obtained by the lawyers show Frank’s crew werent innocent, now his dropping charges all of a sudden when he wanted to press them? the funny part is because the media is not reporting this fools are still stuck on stupid talking about a random witness who’s just proved not credible…the people at the top are trying to destroy Chris now and its a shame, only his fans can defend…not many spiritual/religious people left on this planet and some of you better pray there is no god. smh…#everyone#will#be#judged
