Tamar Braxton Performs on BET’s ‘Celebration of Gospel’

Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton went back to her gospel roots during her performance on BET’s “Celebration of Gospel.” Looking gorgeous in an all-white Marc Bouwer gown, the pregnant songstress put her powerful pipes on display with a rousing rendition of Walter Hawkins’ “Be Grateful,” which earned her a standing ovation.

“Faith is everything to me. This is the reason why I’m here,” said Tamar during an interview on the red carpet. “Every door has been closed. Everybody told me no, but here SHE is.”

Tamar plans to release a new single this month, with her album to follow later this summer.

Watch Tamar take it to church with her soaring set.

@IBeenOnSince89, Oh plz. You must not be old enough to remember her sisters top selling songs. There is no comparison plus Toni was a class act. Something Tamar is far from being!

    Tamar killed it

@Diego, She sure did kill it with her boasting, exalting herself and divisiveness with her sisters. Her voice is not even close to as good as her older sister Toni. The girl is straight up hood and her voice is not all that.

@Tony B, Sorry but I don’t agree. Her sister Toni’s voice and songs runs circles around her. Tamar just has better publicity and she is constantly bragging on herself so I think people just go with it like brainwashed clones.

It was just ok. I didn’t feel like she had an emotional connection to the song. When it comes to gospel, you have to connect so everyone else can. She didn’t do the song any justice, IMO.

I’m sorry but she does not hold a candle to her older sister Toni Braxton’s voice and class. Plus you could understand every word Toni sang but not so with Tamar and the girl is hood and arrogant to excess!
