Tracklisting: Kanye West – ‘Yeezus’

Yeezus

On Tuesday, Kanye West will release his sixth album Yeezus. There have been several tracklistings for the highly-guarded project floating around the Internet, but following its leak, the official tracklisting has surfaced.

The 10 tracks include appearances from Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, Chief Keef, King L, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Charlie Wilson, and even God on “I Am a God.” Rick Rubin serves as executive producer, while Daft Punk, Mike Dean, Travi$ Scott, Hudson Mohawke, and Young Chop assist on the production side.

“We didn’t give a fuck about what nobody said from the outside looking in,” Kanye said at the album listening in New York. “We just wanted to make the best product possible and this is just the beginning of an entirely new mentality of how to make music directly for the people.”

West recruited Rubin at the very end to give the album a cohesive sound. “He is a true artist who happens to make music under the wide umbrella of hip-hop,” the Def Jam founder told The Wall Street Journal. “He is in no way beholden to hip-hop’s typical messaging musical cliches. Hip-hop is a grander, more personal form because of his contributions, and hopefully his work will inspire others to push the boundaries of what’s possible in hip-hop.”

Check out the tracklisting for Yeezus below.

this is short ….. i hate short ass albums … you got money to do all this other stuff but you cant add 6 more tracks to make an album .. on top that no deluxe

    [Reply]

    what Reply:

    @NickiSlaysMe_,
    Thriller – 9 Tracks
    Illmatic – 9 Tracks
    Kid A – 10 tracks

notice how some of the greatest albums of all time are short?

    @what, I like that observation!

    ANON Reply:

@NickiSlaysMe_, Quality over Quantity. A lot of the times in music less is more. Look at Nicki Minaj’s wack ass album with fuckin 20 tracks.

    [Reply]

    keep it real Reply:

@ANON, oh here we go.. why you involving Nicki for? Firstly, the length of an album does not determine its worth.
SECONDLY, College Dropout had 21 tracks and it is considered one of the best rap albums so all I have to say to you is,
    SIMMER DOWN SIR.

    [Reply]

    what Reply:

@keep it real, is every track on college dropout a song though, or is some of those tracks skits? If you cut out the skits College Dropout is like 14 tracks
And for the most part(NOT ALWAYS, since some people won’t understand), but 9 times out of 10 albums that 15+ have at least 4 songs that aren’t that good.
albums that are 8-10 tracks long are almost always better
and he brought Nicki up because her album is a perfect example of a long album where most of the tracks were horrible

@2bad2bme, I actually laugh at it! He crossed the line of disrespect long ago and now he is crossing the line of ridiculous.

To me, he’s pathetic and desperate with this intent of “art.” I pass (since day one).

“Feat God” ——This is so disrespectful. This is why I am turned off by religion. Human beings just uses it for their own reasons. Most Christians give a Christ an ill name.

    [Reply]

    Marcia Reply:

@notahater, It is blasphemous towards God himself. And, no, most Christians do not give Christ an ill name …. most Christians that YOU KNOW give Christ an ill name.

After hearing MDTBF for the 1st time I was blown away. But YEEZUS actually kinda sucks overall i think, and I LOVE ALL his previous albums from bottom to top.

Only actual GOOD tracks on the album is #7 Blood On The Leaves, #8 Guilt Trip, #Bound 2.
The first track is SOO noisy (now that’s what I Call garbage!)

But still tho 10 tracks is way to little!

This album is amazing! You have to trust me on this one. Its something new which means that it is a grower. I bet most of you didn’t like mbdtf right away too. But a few days/weeks later when everybody was taking about it. You also realized it was really good. Are you smart enough to Dont let the same thing happen twice? I hope so

Born Sinner is easily better than Yeezy. Kanye’s album is all over the place and the whack electronic beats aren’t hot outside of 2 songs.

Kanye groupies will hype it up though.

    [Reply]

    natasha Reply:

@flawda, just go read reviews, Born sinner is getting positive review but Yeezus is being acclaimed by critics.

He put way to much emotion in to this. It’s too personal of an album that only he and his team will get…

There is no soul or rhythm, it’s just very abrupt and noisy. Granted his lyric say some crazy shit, but there’s no energy or melody to it.

It’s just Kanye rage, confusion, whining and preaching on electronic static.

Talented dude for sure, MBDTF is still on heavy rotation, but Kim def broke this guys brain.

Maybe it will grow on me? Kind of don’t want it to. I don’t want to be some hipster dickhead that like shit cause it’s different. I want to keep liking shit cause it sounds fucking awesome.

    oh well.

Watch how your favourite rapper starts rapping to beats like this. This album is raw, It will do better here in Europe than in America. We’re used to these beats and are open to something different. MBDTF was different to everything any other rapper was doing at the time, as was 808 and college dropout. Blood on the leaves, on sight, bound 2 and hold my liquor are the best songs but the whole albums sick

    [Reply]

  36. stizriz

just downloaded it. wow, kanye wtf is that sh1t?

How much time did this guy waste making these terrible beats? Terrible lyrics… actually I liked a few verses of one song.

Overall this is just a bad record. You can’t drive down the block bumping this, You can’t bump this at a party, No one will play this in the club, and I have no clue how any radio station is going to play any of these songs on the air! It will take a lot of PAYOLA to get this crap played.
