Chief Keef is in trouble with the law.

On Thursday (Jan. 26), the Chicago rapper was arrested for robbery and assault in connection with the alleged beating of his former producer, Ramsay Tha Great, according to TMZ.

Ramsay was allegedly jumped in his Tarzana, Calif. home last week, an incident being referred to as a home invasion robbery. Keef was wanted for questioning in the case and his home was searched. Chief and one more individual were then taken into custody.

Last week, Ramsay shared videos and photos on Instagram following the alleged assault and robbery. He said it stemmed from an argument with an associate’s wife. “She called Chief Keef,” he says in a clip. “[She] tried to put him on the phone with me to tell me to calm down.”

He alleges that he was calm, but wanted to get his point across in the exchange. According to the beatsmith, Keef then came to his home. “He pushed me in,” he added. “A ni**a behind him had a Draco AK-47 lookin’ thing. He started hitting me in the face.” Ramsay then said he would press charges. “Y’all can say I’m a rat,” he added. “But see you in court.”

Last night, the producer tweeted: “You reap what u sow.”

Keef was booked for robbery and is reportedly being held on $500,000 bail.
