Watch Pia Mia Cover Jhené Aiko's 'New Balance'

Pia Mia goes on a Trip of her own with a cover of Jhené Aiko’s “New Balance.”

Returning to YouTube for a special post, the model-singer revealed that she was inspired by Jhené’s latest offering. “I love her and I think she’s amazing and I love her voice, and this was one of my favorite songs off the new album,” she told fans.

Sitting in her bedroom, a makeup free Pia flexed her vocals with her acapella rendition of the melodic track, which was reportedly written about Jhené’s relationship with Big Sean.

Prior to this, Pia released a shortened piano-assisted cover of the song on Instagram. However, she followed that up with the full acapella cover on YouTube.

The songstress is currently working on her debut album. Last month, she teamed up with Jeremih in the video for their collaboration “I’m a Fan.”

Meanwhile, Aiko has been enjoying critical acclaim for her surprise album, which arrived without warning last week. The star-studded project, which features Brandy (“Ascension”), Big Sean (“Moments”), John Mayer (“New Balance”), Swae Lee (“Sativa”), and Kurupt (“Never Call Me”), was inspired by her travels following the tragic and life-altering death of her brother.
