Lil Uzi Vert and Nicki Minaj have more in store. After collaborating on the remix to “The Way Life Goes,” the two have filmed a music video for their Hot 100 smash.
Taking to social media, the rappers shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the set. “Congratulations. We high as shit,” said Nicki. “We feeling really good right now. We on the set of a video. It’s a pleasure to work with him. [Uzi] reminds me so much of Tunechi, so every time I see him, I’m always like, ‘Aww, my little baby!’ He gives me the Lil’ Tunechi vibe. Because of that, I love him and I love this fucking song. Shoutout to our fans. We’re about to give you a killer video.”
Nicki used the caption to celebrate her continued Billboard Hot 100 success and to tease even more. “Who’s ready for the video?” she wrote. “This just became my 82nd Billboard Hot 100 Entry. Thank you guys so much. #TheWayLifeGoesREMIX #Motorsport was my 81st. Barbie working but u ain’t seen nuffin yet!”
Barbie is working indeed. “The Way Life Goes (Remix)” is currently No. 31 on the Hot 100. Other collaborations are also charting, including Yo Gotti’s “Rake It Up” at No. 22 and Migos’ Cardi B-assisted “MotorSport,” which stands at No. 23.
Nicki is currently prepping her fourth album, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint. Recently, the superstar MC turned heads with a “Minaj à Trois” cover of PAPER magazine. Meanwhile, Uzi re-released Luv Is Rage 2 with four additional songs.
