The R&B crooner took home seven awards including Artist of the Year at the 45th annual event, which was held Sunday (Nov. 19) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. In a pre-taped video message from his tour overseas, Mars thanked his supporters. “Thank you AMAs. Thank you Hooligans. We did it,” he said. “I know it’s because of ya’ll. Thank you for voting for me. I love you guys more than anything.”
