Dr. Jan Adams Walks Off 'Larry King Live'

At the insistence of the family of Dr. Donda West, Dr. Jan Adams, the surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mother, pulled out of his appearance on “Larry King Live” during the first 15 minutes on air. He said he would not speak until Kanye’s family was comfortable with him doing so. Adam’s lawyer said that Adams had received a letter from Kanye’s attorneys asking him not to appear on the show.

Before walking off set, Adams said, “I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren’t accurate about me. But I have a tremendous about of love and respect for the West family and they’ve asked me not to go on.”

Adams has already conducted interviews with PEOPLE and the Los Angeles Times.
