Ashanti Performs 'Never Should Have' on 'Marie'

Ashanti made the television rounds this week to promote “Army Wives” and her upcoming album BraveHeart. Following her appearances on “The Chew” and the “Today” show, the R&B songstress returned to “Marie” on the Hallmark Channel to discuss her international touring plans and launching her independent label, Written Entertainment.

“It’s a lot of work, but it’s a wonderful thing,” she told Marie Osmond. “It’s a wonderful experience to have your hands all over your own project.”

She also performed her new single “Never Should Have” for the first time on television. She poured her heart out as she delivered the emotional R&B ballad off her first album in five years.
