Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill Are Not Engaged
Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are not engaged. Despite putting a ring on it, hip-hop’s power couple is not headed down the aisle…just yet.
The engagement rumors started in April when Nicki posted an Instagram photo of her hand with a massive heart-shaped ring on it. She captioned it with a series of heart, ring, and diamond emojis.
Meek also fueled speculation by posting a yellow heart emoji. A fan told him, “You so fucking lucky ni**a,” to which he responded, “I am!”
But in a new interview with The FADER, Meek denied that the couple is engaged.
“It’s definitely real,” he said of his relationship with the “Truffle Butter” rapstress. “But it ain’t really time to get married yet. We’re still learning each other, feeling each other out.”
They even fooled their family and friends. Drake congratulated the couple onstage at Coachella and Meek’s grandmother called to wish her grandson the best. “Whatever she sees on TV, she believes,” he said.
The couple will have more time together when they hit the road on Nicki’s “Pinkprint Tour” in July.
