Kanye West Meets Caitlyn Jenner
The moment has finally arrived—in the premiere episode of “I Am Cait,” the story of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, we get to see Caitlyn meet her son-in-law Kanye West for the first time.
“What up!”
Those are Kanye’s first words to Caitlyn, a huge smile beaming across his face. With his wife Kim Kardashian by his side, he goes on to praise Caitlyn’s bravery in the face of media scrutiny.
“I think this is one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings, that are so controlled by perception,” he gushes, adding, “You couldn’t have been up against more.”
In a separate interview scene, Caitlyn praises Yeezus. “Kanye and I have never really been very close but I love his open-mindedness and I love how he has helped Kim come to grips with what’s going on,” she says.
At the end of the interaction, Caitlyn’s friends and family can’t help asking Kanye about his fresh white adidas sneakers, commenting on the untied laces.
