New Music: Disclosure feat. The Weeknd - 'Nocturnal'

The Weeknd continues in the disco-inflected pop vein he explored on Beauty Behind the Madness on his new collaboration with Disclosure, “Nocturnal,” which comes off the duo’s sophomore album Caracal.
It feels like an effortless blend of styles that have merged closer to each other recently. Disclosure has begun moving away from house toward straightforward pop, while The Weeknd has been moving in the same direction away from his dark R&B roots. He croons a soaring hook over the Lawrence brothers’ chugging beat.
Lorde, Miguel, and Sam Smith are also featured on Caracal, which is out tomorrow.
