Watch Ciara's Whitney Houston Dance Tribute

  /  02.11.2017

On the five-year anniversary of Whitney Houston’s passing, Ciara shows love to the late legend with a dance tribute in her home.

The pregnant singer begins her homage by playing the classic “I’m Every Woman” anthem in her kitchen. Showing off her baby bump, CiCi grabs a spatula and dances her way into the living room where her son Future is hanging out.

After kissing young Zahir, the Jackie songstress prances by hubby Russell Wilson, who poses for the camera while reading a book. Ciara then closes things out by throwing her button-up shirt at the camera.

It’s a playful tribute to the iconic Houston, who died from an accidental drowning at the age of 48.

Upon her death, Ciara issued a statement about Houston’s influence. “Her voice was insurmountable, her smile was illuminating,” she wrote. “She was truly one of a kind and a huge inspiration to me. She has always had sweet and fun words to say to me. I will cherish the moment I was able to share with her, forever. This is truly unbelievable. My prayers and condolences to her family at this sad time.”

Shortly after, CiCi opened up about the legendary vocalist as a person. “I’ve learned so much [from her],” she told BET. “She was so humble and so much fun. She had so much personality. Any person that would have had a chance to be in her presence would have walked away feeling like they had an amazing experience.”
