Macklemore takes over late night.
On back-to-back nights, the Seattle rapper performed different songs off his new album Gemini on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
The first of those came on Tuesday (Sept. 26), when he teamed up with Migos’ Offset for a rendition of their “Willy Wonka” collaboration on “Kimmel.” Donning a multicolor Fendi fur coat and Balenciaga Triple S sneakers, Offset brought flavor to the performance, while Mack rocked a plaid suit and Gucci loafers in front of the outdoor Hollywood crowd.
Then, last night, Macklemore was joined by Eric Nally of Foxy Shazam fame, for a performance of “Ain’t Gonna Die Tonight” on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” Together, the “Downtown” duo rocked the Stage 56 audience with the horn-filled opening song off Gemini. The Seattle spitter even performed on Corden’s bar for a portion of the energetic set.
Prior to this, Mack teamed up with Kesha for a performance of “Good Old Days” on “Ellen.” All of the aforementioned singles appear on the Seattle rhymer’s Gemini, his first solo album since 2005’s The Language of My World, and since amicably parting ways with producer Ryan Lewis.
