Nicki Minaj Performs 'Queen' Medley at VMAs
The Queen came to slay.
Nicki Minaj ruled the stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (Aug. 20). During an electrifying performance from the World Trade Center’s Oculus transportation hub in New York City, Her Majesty served up a medley of Queen cuts.
Donning a blonde bob and gold leotard, Nicki took her throne on a gold stage covered with unicorns and giant wings. She opened with her Eminem collaboration “Majesty” before delivering “Barbie Dreams” as fans sang along to every word. She even spit an acapella verse from “Ganja Burn,” before closing with her platinum 6ix9ine collaboration “FEFE.”

Earlier in the evening, Nicki won the award for Best Hip-Hop for “Chun-Li,” and took a moment to defend Normani after Tiffany Haddish made a joke at Fifth Harmony’s expense.
“Don’t be coming for Fifth Harmony because Normani is that bitch!” she said.
