Chris Brown Settles Lawsuit with Former Manager

  /  06.27.2019

Chris Brown has reached a settlement in his lengthy legal battle with his former manager.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the R&B superstar and his ex-manager Mike G have resolved their issues, but details remain confidential.

Per the terms of the deal, they have dismissed claims against each other and the court will enforce the terms of the settlement.

In 2016, Mike G. sued Brown, accusing him of false imprisonment, assault, battery, defamation, and breach of contract. He claimed Brown punched him without provocation in early 2016 and that he had to be hospitalized as a result of the attack. Brown also accused Mike G of stealing money, which the manager denied.

The “No Guidance” singer hired Mike G. in 2012 to allegedly rehabilitate his image following the Rihanna assault. Earlier this year, Brown was sanctioned for refusing to turn over key evidence in the case to Mike G. The judge ordered him to pay $1,760 and turn over all documents that were requested by his former manager.

Brown is set to release his ninth album Indigo tonight featuring Drake, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas, Tyga, and more.
