Master P Reveals His Top 5 Rappers

  /  10.16.2019

Who’s in Master P’s top 5?

During his visit to “Nick Cannon Mornings” on Power 106, the No Limit legend revealed his list of the greatest MCs to touch the mic, starting with his former signee Snoop Dogg. “It gotta be Snoop Dogg off the top,” he said.

Master P and Snoop go way back. P was responsible for negotiating Snoop’s release from Death Row and signing him to No Limit. “Snoop wasn’t afraid to change his life and listen,” he said, adding, “Snoop got a heart of gold.”

And it wouldn’t be a top 5 without Tupac and Biggie. He also gave props to a Southern legend, Scarface, and rounded out his list with Lil Wayne. “That might piss a bunch of people off,” he said. “I gotta be able to give credit to the people where I come from that really went hard.”

He didn’t just stop at 5. Eminem earned a spot at No. 6, followed by JAY-Z at No. 7, and E-40 at No. 8.

Watch him reveal his top 5 and more.
