  /  10.05.2020

Machine Gun Kelly lands his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Tickets to My Downfall.

The Cleveland singer-rapper’s fifth studio album earned 126,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 1, of which album sales comprise 63,000. Executive produced by Travis Barker, the pop-punk project marks MGK’s fifth top 10 effort overall, besting Hotel Diablo (No. 5, 2019), Bloom (No. 8, 2017), General Admission (No. 4, 2015), and Lace Up (No. 4, 2012).

Tickets to My Downfall, which features collaborations with Halsey, Trippie Redd, and Iann Dior, also becomes the first rock album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in over a year.

Pop Smoke’s former No. 1, Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon, falls 2-4 with 71,000 equivalent album units, while Juice WRLD’s posthumous project Legends Never Die dips 5-6 with 48,000 units.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s former chart-topper Top slides 3-9 in its third week, with 42,000 equivalent album units.

Tory Lanez enters the top 10 with DAYSTAR. The surprise project, on which he denies shooting Megan Thee Stallion, debuts at No. 10 with 36,000 equivalent album units, of which 2,000 are from album sales. DAYSTAR is Lanez’ sixth consecutive top 10, and his second of 2020, following The New Toronto 3, which debuted at No. 2 in April.
