Offset Surprises Cardi B with a House for Her Birthday
Offset is known for giving Cardi B lavish gifts, but this one topped the list.
On Monday night, the “WAP” rapper celebrated her 29th birthday with a Passa Passa party in L.A. At one point during the dancehall-themed bash, Cardi’s husband surprised the mother of his two kids by announcing that he bought her a house in the Dominican Republic.
“I done bought you the biggest diamonds you could get, I done bought you everything, so this year I wanted to buy something that means something… You gave me my beautiful son,” he said before announcing, “I bought you a house in DR.”
He then played a video that showed off the extravagant island digs, complete with a pool on the roof. “I spent some millions on this, right here on the ocean,” he told Cardi as she watched the presentation.

Cardi and Offset were bumpin’ and grindin’ on the dance floor to the dancehall jams, while Spice and Shenseea performed for the crowd. The star-studded guest list included Megan Thee Stallion, Quavo, Normani, Lizzo, Chance the Rapper, Teyana Taylor, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, 2 Chainz, Taraji P. Henson, Winnie Harlow, Karrueche Tran, PnB Rock, Anitta, and Trey Songz.
Guests dined on jerk chicken, oxtail, rice, and plantains. Cardi told her guests to dress appropriately. “Bring out ya best Caribbean dancehall looks!” she said.
Cardi admitted that she partied a little too hard. “I’m really sick. I have a headache. I took two shots with no food, I feel like I’m dying,” she said at the end of the night.
