Ralo could be spending the next eight years behind bars.

A judge has sentenced the Atlanta rapper, born Terrell Davis, to eight years in federal prison. He will receive four years credit for time served and another one-and-a-half years for good time before being released to a halfway house.

His team shared the announcement with fans on Ralo’s official Instagram page on Wednesday (June 1).

“The Judge sentenced Ralo to 8 years in Federal Prison, he was given over 4 years credit time served,” read the statement. “The BOP has also credited him 1 & 1/2 year for good time.”

The 1017 Records signee could be home as soon as next year. “He was recommended 1 year ankle monitor after the halfway house approve his home address; which will bring him home to us late next year, but our goal is for him to complete his GED or RDAP Drug program so we can get another year off his sentence. That will bring him home to us in less than a year. We need prayer 🙏 hands… #FreeRalo.”

According to XXL, Ralo was sentenced back in March to 97 months in prison after pleading guilty to six counts including conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute at least a kilo of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm, and money laundering.

He was arrested in April 2018 on federal drug conspiracy charges when police searched his private plane at the Atlanta airport and discovered nearly $1 million worth of marijuana. He pleaded not guilty and later turned down a five-year plea deal. In 2020, he was granted bail, but it was revoked after a judge accused Ralo of continuing to sell drugs from inside jail.

While he’s been incarcerated, Ralo has released multiple projects including 2019’s Free Ralo 2021’s Political Prisoner.
