Ashanti Empowers Youth at Boys & Girls Club Campaign Launch

Ashanti was on hand to help launch the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s “Great Futures Start Here” campaign in Washington, D.C., today. Looking regal in purple, the R&B songbird joined Denzel Washington and LeBron James to unveil the star-studded PSA featuring 21 notable Boys & Girls Club alumni including Jennifer Lopez, Magic Johnson, Ne-Yo, Shaquille O’Neal, Kerry Washington, and more. Beyoncé provides the soundtrack to the campaign with her empowering Diane Warren-penned ballad “I Was Here.”
