The Atlanta rapper’s solo debut enters atop the Billboard 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts with 147,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Def Jam project features the Drake-assisted single “No Lie” and “Birthday Song” with Kanye West, plus collaborations with Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Chris Brown, and The-Dream.

According to Billboard, 2 Chainz is the third act this year to score a No. 1 album with his debut, following One Direction’s Up All Night and Jack White’s Blunderbuss. The last rapper to accomplish this was Mac Miller, whose debut Blue Slide Park topped the charts in November 2011 with 144,000 copies.

It marks the first No. 1 album for 2 Chainz, who previously released two albums with Playaz Circle. Both failed to enter the top 20 on the Billboard 200.

On the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, 2 Chainz also holds down the No. 1 spot for a second week with “No Lie.”
