A$AP Mob

It was an A$AP Mob takeover on Tuesday’s “106 & Park” when A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg stopped by. In the wake of the Zimmerman verdict, they both wore hoodies to show their support for Trayvon Martin.

“I want to say R.I.P. to him and I think it’s unfortunate the way things went down because I didn’t see any justice, but that’s just my biased opinion I guess being a young black brother who wears a lot of hoodies,” said Rocky. “I want to send blessings and peace to his family.”

Ferg premiered the video for “Shabba,” the new single off his debut Trap Lord, due August 20. “Shabba was just one of them people where I felt like people kinda forgot about him,” said Ferg of dancehall star Shabba Ranks. “I had to bring him back up after 20 years of being lost.”

Rocky introduced the crew one by one and spoke about his upcoming “Under the Influence” tour with Wiz Khalifa.

The trendsetting MC also shared some fashion advice for his fellow MCs. “Rappers, please stop wearing all these Givenchy, Gucci accessory jewelry that’s makin’ your neck turn green,” said Rocky. “That’s so tacky. Let’s just give it up. We in the new year. Let it rest in peace.”
