Rihanna and Eminem

Just days after Beyoncé and Jay Z wrapped the U.S. leg of their “On the Run Tour,” another powerhouse duo kicked off theirs. Eminem and Rihanna unleashed the three-city “Monster Tour” at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. on Thursday.

According to Billboard, the nearly three-hour spectacle opened with a short Silence of the Lambs-inspired film before Rihanna, dressed in a flame-patterned outfit, took the stage on a platform while performing “Numb.” Eminem made his grand entrance on a stretcher like Hannibal Lecter.

They continued with a mash-up of their hits including “No Love (Don’t Hurt Me)” and “Run This Town,” on which Em delivered his “Renegade” verse.

“Make Rihanna feel at home,” Em told the crowd, while RiRi added, “Make some noise for this white motherfucker.”

The Rihanna portion of the night began with “What Now” and lasted for almost an hour. She entertained the crowd of 90,000 with wardrobe changes and hit after hit including “Birthday Cake,” “Pour It Up,” “Man Down,” and “Umbrella.”

Following “Stay,” Em returned to the stage for “Love the Way You Lie” before launching into fan favorites including “Square Dance,” “Rap God,” and “The Way I Am.”

They came back together to duet on “Airplanes, Part II” and “Stan.” Em then proceeded into his second solo act of hits which included “The Real Slim Shady” and “Without Me.”

RiRi returned for “Diamonds” and “We Found Love,” and Em had the crowd singing along to his anthem “Lose Yourself.”

As fireworks lit up the stadium, they capped off the explosive evening with their chart-topping hit “The Monster.”

The tour will play the Rose Bowl again tonight before continuing to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 16-17, and Detroit’s Comerica Park on August 22-23.
