Floyd Mayweather Expected to Pay $10 Million Bail for Suge Knight

  /  04.30.2015

Suge Knight may soon be out of jail thanks to Floyd Mayweather. According to Knight’s lawyer, the undefeated boxing champ has plans to bail him out.

The rap mogul is currently serving his third month behind bars for running over two men and killing one, Terry Carter, in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in Compton on Jan. 29.

Knight’s lawyer, Matthew Fletcher, was confident that Mayweather would cover the Death Row Records founder’s $10 million bail following his fight with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas this weekend.

“My understanding is that Suge is going to be bailed out this coming week,” Fletcher told the New York Daily News.

“We think Mr. Mayweather is going to win the championship and then come champion the day again,” he said. “They’re good friends, and there’s no reason he shouldn’t. And we believe that will happen.”

Knight, 50, appeared in court on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to murder. His trail is set for July 7.

UPDATE: Not so fast… A key member of Floyd’s Money Team tells TMZ that Floyd will not be posting Suge’s bail if he wins his fight this weekend. Floyd and Suge were close in the past, but they haven’t been in contact in years.
