Quavo & Ryan Destiny Perform 'Lifetime' on 'Star'

  /  04.06.2018

Quavo showcases his “Star” quality once again. Fresh off celebrating his 27th birthday, the Migos MC joins Ryan Destiny for a special performance of “Lifetime.” The clip is from the upcoming episode of the Fox series “Star,” which airs next week.

Adding Auto-Tuned harmonies, the trap star also provides some of his famous ad-libs in the lyric video. “I paid all my bills for a lifetime,” he sings. “Shorty said she loves me for a lifetime / I went to the jeweler, told ’em ‘Ice mine’ / So I can stand outside and be your sunshine.”

After his melodic verse about sacrifices, Destiny adds some pop and R&B flavors. “One time for the grind, for the time,” she sings. “You give your whole life just to see the bright lights / With the shine comes the shade / With the love comes the hate.”

Quavo will play a fictionalized version of himself on the program. But he isn’t the show’s only guest star. Brandy and Patti LaBelle are also among this season’s featured acts. The Migos rapper’s episode airs April 11 on Fox. Watch the collaboration unfold in the studio below.
