Theophilus London Confronts D.L. Hughley Amid Kanye West Feud

  /  03.21.2022

Kanye West’s clique is coming to his defense.

Theophilus London came face to face with D.L. Hughley amid Ye’s ongoing feud with the comedian. During a visit to Nobu in Malibu over the weekend, the “Can’t Stop” rapper seemingly approached the comedian’s table while he was dining with friends. In a series of Instagram Stories, London documented the confrontation.

“I told him to apologize on camera for doing that dumb Vlad interview and his people called security,” he wrote, a response to Hughley criticizing Ye amid his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

It’s unclear what was said during the exchange. London posted a photo of Hughley turning around and soundtracked it with Chief Keef’s “Faneto.”

“I pressed this ni**a @realdlhughley,” claimed London, while also taking shots at one of the Kings of Comedy. “Kings of who?” he asked.

However, things didn’t seem to escalate. “I’m a good boy and peace maker tho. Just came to ball on some fish,” he wrote.

Ye and Hughley have been going back and forth. Hughley accused Ye of “stalking” his ex and questioned his mental health, prompting Ye to fire back with a threatening message.

“DL Hughley is a pawn,” Ye wrote in a since-deleted post. “Yeah I know a king not supposed to address a pawn but I address everything and find addresses DL So don’t speak on me or my children I can afford to hurt u.”

Hughley received support from Steve Harvey who spoke out in defense of his fellow comedian. “Pull up, it ain’t what you want,” the 65-year-old comedian said on the “Steve Harvey Morning Show.” “If y’all do get to scrapping, all my cash on D.L., ’cause you have no idea. You’ve been a lil politically, socially-conscious rapper. We from a ass-whoopin’ era. We from a whole ‘nother era.”

Ye has not returned to Instagram since he was suspended for 24 hours for violating the platform’s policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment.
