Akon is going for a Euro-club sound on his third album Freedom as indicated by a new cut called “Beautiful” featuring his Konlive cohorts Colby O’Donis and Kardinal Offishall. The beat reminds us of Alice DeeJay’s 1999 dance hit “Better Off Alone.”

right now ( na na na ) reminded me of a dance hit back in the day and this is so much like Alice Deejay. But i still like it cos Akon makes good music and i like his voice. There\’s nothing wrong with changing things up and taking risks in music. status quo is boring
