John Legend Performs ‘All of Me’ with Jennifer Nettles, Hunter Hayes at CMT Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles and John Legend

John Legend brought his smooth sound to Nashville for the 2014 CMT Music Awards. The R&B crooner put a country spin on his No. 1 ballad “All of Me” with some help from Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes, who wrote a guitar arrangement of the song specifically for the show.

Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen wasn’t in attendance, but he did serenade the star-studded crowd including Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie.

“It’s such a beautifully crafted, well-written song,” said Nettles. “It combines both beautiful imagery and, at the same time, has wonderful conversational moments, too.”

The song has become the highest-selling and charting single of Legend’s career, with sales over 3 million in the U.S.

The G.O.O.D. Music singer has announced additional dates for his “All of Me” tour. The summer trek kicks off July 17 in Highland, Calif., and wraps August 26 in Morrison, Co.

“It’s an amazing feeling,” Pharrell said of his success. “I never expected any of this. I’m surrounded by amazing talent.”

He will join “The Voice” as a coach next season. “My wife has always been obsessed with [the show], so we always watch it,” he said. “I never imagined being up there, either. All of this is a great surprise. It’s just awesome.”

He also shared his obsession with late scientist Carl Sagan, whose photo he requested in his dressing room.

“I watched ‘Cosmos’ as a child and I was always blown away by [Sagan's] mind and the way he thought,” said Pharrell. “When I look at that picture I realize how lucky we all are … to be on this planet and be able to do what we love to do every day. Seeing Carl’s face reminds me of it.”

Trey Songz and 50 Cent

50 Cent took over Central Park on Friday as part of the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series. The G-Unit captain performed new and old hits including “In Da Club” and “Just a Lil Bit.” He also brought out Joe for his “Power” theme song “Big Rich Town” and Trey Songz for “Smoke.”

50, whose childhood nickname is Boo Boo, laughed about his embarrassing first pitch at the Mets game earlier in the week. After the video went viral, he was pulled over by a cop, who didn’t ticket him, but did tell him, “You know that pitch was terrible.”

But he has no plans to return to the mound. “I’m not a professional pitcher, I make music,” he said.

On June 3, the self-described “homebody” will release Animal Ambition, his first album in five years. “A lot of things changed in my life since the first album,” he said. “With this project, I chose prosperity ’cause of the success that I’ve had in my career.”

He also shared his admiration for Miley Cyrus. “I like some of the stuff that Miley Cyrus is doing,” said Fif. “I fit easy with some of the stuff that she’s doing. Sometimes she goes further than me.”

Next up, the rapper-turned-actor will star in The Prince with Bruce Willis and John Cusack and Spy with Melissa McCarthy.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez capped off the latest season of “American Idol” with a bang. After receiving the Icon Award at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, the pop superstar made her way from the judges’ table to the stage to perform her Max Martin-produced single “First Love” on Wednesday’s finale. With the wind whipping through her hair, the hot mamacita sexed up the stage with an exhilarating set.

The 44-year-old credits her fit physique to her 22-day vegan diet, which she recently completed. “I enjoy eating that way. I never did,” she told Ryan Seacrest. “And I didn’t know how good you can feel when you put healthy stuff in your body.”

In addition to J.Lo, Aloe Blacc, Paramore, and Demi Lovato also performed at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live before an “Idol” winner was crowned.

Iggy Azalea Talks No. 1 Album and Cleaning Houses on ‘Chelsea Lately’

Iggy Azalea and Chelsea Handler

Hot on the heels of her debut album The New Classic, Iggy Azalea stopped by “Chelsea Lately” on Tuesday for some girl talk. The comedienne congratulated the Aussie hitmaker on becoming the first white woman to have a No. 1 rap album.

“I’m sure Eminem probably did it a few times. I’m the first white person with a vagina,” said Iggy, whose single “Fancy” recently went platinum.

When she was 16, Iggy moved to Miami on her own to pursue her career. While she didn’t graduate from high school, she did get her GED. But she hopes one day she will be able to get an honorary degree.

After dropping out of school, she paid her bills by cleaning houses (She once found poop on a doormat).

But you won’t find a mess at Iggy’s house. When it comes to cleaning, she’s OCD. “My own house, I’m really anal about and people hate that,” said Iggy.

See her chop it up with Chelsea below.
