Who’s in Common’s top 5?

While promoting his upcoming album Let Love, the Chicago rapper paid a visit to “Nick Cannon Mornings” on Power 106, where he followed Rick Ross, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg by revealing his five favorite MCs.

First up was The Notorious B.I.G. who earned billing alongside Nas. André 3000 also made the list, along with Common’s fellow Chi-town native Kanye West. The fifth spot went to the legendary KRS-One. And Kendrick Lamar scored an honorable mention.

“You put Kendrick’s albums against the five that I named, it’s like, man, that dude got like four classics probably,” said Common of the Compton MC.

Common is now gearing up to release his new album Let Love on Friday featuring Daniel Caesar, Swizz Beatz, BJ the Chicago Kid, Jill Scott, Leon Bridges, and more.
