Usher Brings Out Chris Brown, August Alsina, Jeremih, & Kid Ink at L.A. Show

Usher, Chris Brown, and August Alsina

Usher’s “UR Experience” pulled into L.A.’s Staples Center on Friday night with a slew of surprises. After bringing out Trey Songz in Chicago, the R&B superstar was joined by some more of his R&B brothers including Chris Brown, Jeremih, and August Alsina.

Kid Ink was up first, hitting the stage for their collaboration “Body Language” before Jeremih turned up on the remix to DJ Khaled’s “Hold You Down” and his own top 10 hit “Don’t Tell ‘Em.”

After opening for Usher earlier in the evening, August returned for “I Luv This Shit” with a surprise appearance from Chris Brown, who was greeted with roaring applause. Breezy then delved into “Loyal” while August captured the moment on his iPhone.

“Breezy, I don’t think they’re ready to turn all the way up,” said Usher before the two launched into their X hit “New Flame.” They wowed with their slick moves, and Usher showed off his abs, before hugging it out.

Usher, Trey Songz, and August Alsina

Usher brought the “UR Experience” to Chicago’s United Center on Monday night, and he was joined by some special guests. After opening for Usher earlier in the evening, August Alsina returned to the stage along with Trey Songz to perform the remix to “I Luv This Shit,” and the ladies went wild.

“I went on tour with Usher a couple years ago. It changed my life,” Trigga told the crowd. “Make some noise for one of the greatest in the game—greatest there ever is, greatest there ever will be. I love you, boy.”

Usher also welcomed Rico Love, who penned several of his hits including “There Goes My Baby,” to perform his single “They Don’t Know.”

The “UR Experience” hits the west coast later this week before winding down on December 14 in Tampa, Fla.

New Music: Usher – ‘Clueless’

Usher

While he travels the country on his “UR Experience” tour, Usher liberates “Clueless,” a new song that won’t be found on his upcoming album. If you purchase specially-marked Honey Nut Cheerios boxes at Walmart, you will receive a code to download the song for free.

The R&B king lets his emotions get the best of him as he serenades a special lady. “Don’t hold out on your love / It’s the only thing I’m sure of / For everything else I’m clueless, stupid, foolish,” he croons.

Usher’s eighth album was originally due this year, but it no longer has a release date. “I just ain’t ready,” he told Billboard last month. “Meaning I have more that I want to say and more that I want to do. My process is pretty different. L.A. Reid will tell you, it takes two albums to make one with Usher.”

Listen to Usher go all in for love.

Usher Sings National Anthem at Cavaliers Game

Usher

In addition to a performance from Kendrick Lamar, Usher helped celebrate LeBron James’ homecoming in Cleveland on Thursday. The R&B crooner, who is part owner of the Cavs, took the court at Quicken Loans Arena to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before his team lost to the Knicks.

As Justin Bieber, Spike Lee, and David Beckham looked on, he belted out a soaring rendition of the patriotic tune while the players watched from the sidelines. Towards the end, the entire arena started singing along, making for an emotional moment.

Video: Kid Ink f/ Usher & Tinashe – ‘Body Language’

Kid Ink, Usher, and Tinashe

Kid Ink gives us plenty to talk about in the voyeuristic video for “Body Language.” Inspired by a peep show, the Darren Craig-directed clip was shot in Atlanta and features Usher, Tinashe, and plenty of booty-popping ladies.

The L.A. rapper and R&B superstar ogle at their voluptuous—and very flexible—co-stars as they put their finest assets on display. They twerk in glass boxes, while Kid Ink pours himself a drink and watches the steamy action. Usher shows off his slick style and Tinashe looks stunning in a black leotard and green latex dress.

The song, produced by Stargate and Cashmere Cat, is the first single off Kid Ink’s upcoming album, due in 2015. He and Tinashe will both hit the stage at Power 106′s Cali Christmas on December 5.

Usher Talks New Album, Tour, & Justin Bieber in Billboard

Usher

All hail King Usher. The R&B superstar reigns over the cover of Billboard wearing a bejeweled plastic crown over his hoodie with the tagline, “Usher in a New Era.”

In anticipation of his upcoming tour, the 36-year-old father of two spoke to the magazine about his new album, protégé Justin Bieber, and relationship with girlfriend/manager Grace Miguel.

He has dozens of songs finished for his upcoming eighth album including ones with Skrillex and Diplo, but the project still doesn’t have a release date. Three singles have debuted including “Good Kisser,” the Nicki Minaj-assisted “She Came to Give It to You,” and “I Don’t Mind” featuring Juicy J.

His “UR Experience” tour, which kicks off on November 1 with supporting act August Alsina, will feature elaborate choreography, tons of pyro, and a 13-piece band that Usher refers to as his “funk-soul orchestra.”

“This will be one of my freest tours,” said Usher. “Shit, I’m singing love songs that went on to be baby-makers—and now the damn babies are in the audience. Talk about a family reunion.”
